Esperanza lives on a fancy farm in Mexico, with hundreds of servants, grand parties, and fancy dresses. Then suddenly her father dies, and Mama and Esperanza flee to California. They live there as farmworkers, fighting for survival during the dust bowl and great depression era. Through her hardships, Esperanza learns the value of hard work and the meaning of a truly rich community.
Kate rates this book 🌪🌪🌪🌪🌪 out of 🌪🌪🌪🌪🌪. It could not have been written more beautifully or haven a better plot.
