Written by Karina Yan Glaser, A Duet For Home explores the point of view of June and Tyrell who live in a homeless shelter. As they share a love of classical music and a deep hatred of the homeless shelter they live in, they bond and become closer than ever, helping each other through the ups and downs that they experience. As the homeless shelter falls in danger of closing for good, June and Tyrell work together to try to save their home.
Kate rates this book 4 out of 5. I loved this book because of the heartfelt relationships and the relatable characters and their passions, but the only critique I have on the book is that it was a little repetitive and could have moved faster. Overall, I enjoyed reading it and the idea was great, but it could have been shorter.
